Whenever I go to Vic Market, I’m always sure to head into the food hall in search of the wonderfully delicious poppy seed babka. Layers of golden yeasty dough intermingled with a sweet slurry of poppy seed paste. For some reason I always feel sleepy and content after eating these. I’m not sure if it’s the Opium from the poppy seeds or the pure over indulgence of devouring 4 in one sitting!!
