SCARVES - CHERRY BOMB - EXTRAFINE MERINO WOOL

Since planting a Cherry Blossom in our garden. We have been careful to take a photo whenever we notice it in full bloom. Each year before we know it the most striking explosion of delicate flowers are gone. Whilst only a photo, it somehow manages to gratify us a little longer.

Ironically, cherry blossom in Japan symbolise clouds, a metaphor for the transient nature of life. Linked to the term ‘Mono no aware’ – in Japanese meaning the awareness of impermanence. The cherry blossoms’ symbolism represents a vast part of Japanese culture.

Coupling our love for our dear cherry blossom tree with our true appreciation of Japanese art and culture. We have brought to you the ‘Cherry Bomb’, uniting the vulnerable subtleness of the cherry blossom with the explosive short lived display of colour that it brings us each year. Knitted with Extrafine Merino wool, this scarf will envelop you in a gentle warm hug of blossoms.

~ Made in Melbourne from 100% Extrafine Merino Wool.
~ Scarf dimensions are 180cm x 27cm wide.

Otto & Spike proudly knit everything in our little factory in East Brunswick. Occasionally popular items sellout quickly and we have to knit them especially for you.
