Mechanism

Your scarf wasn’t just knitted by a machine you know? A minimum of 8 different pairs of hand played a part in fact! After designing the scarf, a knitting pattern is created for our knitting machines. The pattern is then loaded onto the machine by a machine operator. The scarf is then taken to our finishing department. Here we inspect for any faults, loose threads are tucked and cut. Your scarf then heads off to the sewing room where labels are sewn in place at each end. Then its off to the pressing area where it is pressed on a huge hot steam press. Finally, to the packing department, here swing tags are strung together with cord that we knitted and pinned to your scarf ready for you to wear. xx
